Lube Spin-On
- Unscrew and remove old filter and gasket. Properly dispose of the used filter according to local regulations
- Wipe filter head with a clean cloth
- Fill with oil on the dirty side per engine manufacturer recommendations
- Apply a thin film of clean motor oil to the gasket
- Align threads and spin on filter until gasket contact
- Follow icons on filter to tighten
- Check oil level
- Start engine and check for leaks
- Stop engine and recheck oil level
Cartridge Filters
- Loosen cap slowly; oil will drain from housing
- Remove cap, cartridge and gasket (if present)
- Remove cartridge and old o-ring from cap. Properly dispose of the cartridge according to local regulations
- Clean cap and housing with clean cloth
- Fit new o-ring and cartridge into cap
- Install new gasket (if needed)
- Install cap with cartridge
- Tighten cap to proper torque
- Check oil level
- Start engine and check for leaks
- Stop engine and recheck oil level
